Dr. Alex Mari is an Adjunct Professor in Marketing Strategy and Digital Marketing at SBS Swiss School of Business and an Adjunct Professor of Marketing Analytics at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan. He also serves as a Senior Research Associate and Teaching Fellow at the Chair of Marketing for Social Impact at the University of Zurich. Alex earned his PhD in Business Administration from the University of Zurich, where his dissertation on the emergence of AI empathy in voice assistants and its impact on consumer decision-making earned him the prestigious Stanley C. Hollander Award from the Academy of Marketing Science.
Alex is the founder of the “AI Empathy Research Initiative”, a collective of senior researchers from Swiss universities dedicated to advancing the study of empathic AI in marketing. Beyond his research, Alex is a frequent keynote speakers in international conferences on AI for Marketing and MarTech.
His professional experience includes roles as Global Director of Digital Marketing and E-commerce at Sonova, Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble, and CEO of the startup Fennex. He has also provided executive coaching in over ten international projects for tech startups and large corporations.
