PROGRAM DETAILS
The Master of Science (MSc) in International Business at SBS Swiss Business School is structured into two key phases designed to combine academic learning with real-world experience.
Part 1 – Academic Courses
During the first year, students complete a series of academic courses over three taught terms. This phase concludes with the submission and defense of a master’s thesis in front of a panel jury. Students are encouraged to select a business-related research topic aligned with their career goals, guided by an SBS-approved supervisor or faculty mentor.
Part 2 – Professional Experience (*)
The second year focuses on practical, professional experience, which may take the form of an internship or full-time employment in Switzerland or abroad. This period, typically lasting 9 to 12 months, allows students to apply classroom knowledge in real business environments and gain valuable global experience. The program concludes with a professional report that reflects on workplace achievements and the lessons learned throughout the experience.

Admissions Requirements:
- Successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized educational institution.
- English Proficiency for non-native speakers.
- Successful completion of the admissions interview.
- SBS admissions exam (when applicable).
Notes:
- Applicants who do not meet the Bachelor Admission Criteria will be reviewed by the SBS Admissions Team.
Applicants who do not have a Bachelor’s degree in the related field will be asked to successfully complete the LEVEL-UP course prior to entering one of the SBS Master programs.
Required documentation for the MSc in International Business program
- Copy of a Bachelor’s degree diploma and official transcript.
- Complete Curriculum Vitae (CV) outlining professional experience and responsibilities.
- English proficiency certificate, unless previous education was conducted in English.
- TOEFL iBT: 90, IELTS: 6.5, Duolingo B2, or equivalent.
- One professional or academic reference letter.
- Only for applicants to the one-year program: Work certificate confirming at least one year of full-time work experience (or equivalent) in a related field.
- Recent front-facing, high-quality photograph in JPG, PNG, or GIF format.
- Copy of passport or ID.
- Application fee of CHF 150.– (payable via PayPal to [email protected] or by bank transfer).
Application Deadline
For candidates from non-EU / non-Schengen countries, the application deadline is May 31st of the current year. While late applications may be considered on an exceptional basis, please note that acceptance is not guaranteed. We strongly encourage you to submit your application early to secure your place.
Tuition fees at SBS Swiss Business School may be paid in full or through installments, according to the payment plan outlined below. Tuition fees include teaching materials, examinations, and extracurricular activities included in the program.
We offer a 5% tuition fee reduction when tuition is paid in full at the start of the program.

- The total program fee of CHF 27'250 for the 1-year MSc includes CHF 23'600 in tuition fees, a CHF 3'500 one-time administration fee, and a CHF 150 non-refundable application fee. The total program fee of CHF 32'250 for the 2-year MSc includes CHF 28'600 in tuition fees, a CHF 3'500 one-time administration fee, and a CHF 150 non-refundable application fee.
- Tuition fees may be paid in full or through installments according to the applicable MSc payment schedule.
- The CHF 3'500 administration fee is refundable in full if the student's visa application is refused by the relevant visa authorities. An official visa rejection letter is required.
