Once your application is complete and all required documents have been received, you’ll receive an email confirming receipt.
After your application fee is processed, the SBS Admissions Team will review your file and contact you shortly. If shortlisted, you’ll be invited to an interview (online or in person). This is your opportunity to share your goals - no preparation required.
You will receive your admission decision by email just a few days after the interview.
Admitted candidates will have:
- 10 business days to confirm their acceptance, and
- 1 month to pay the Administration Fee Invoice (non-refundable) to officially secure their spot at SBS.
How long does admissions process take?
The full admissions process typically takes 5 to 10 business days, depending on how quickly documents and payments are submitted.

Application deadlines at SBS Swiss Business School depend on your nationality and the program you are applying to - particularly for international students who require a visa.
Full-Time Programs (BSc and MSc – On-Campus in Zurich)
For Non-EU / Non-Schengen Applicants:
- Deadline: May 31st (for fall intake starting in September)
Visa processing may take several weeks, so early submission is essential.
For Swiss and EU Applicants:
- Deadline: August 15th (for fall intake)
These applicants do not require a visa, so the timeline is more flexible.
* Late applications may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, but admission is not guaranteed.
Part-Time Programs (Online or Hybrid)
MSc, MBA, Executive MBA: Rolling admissions - apply at least 10 business days before your intended intake date.
Doctor of Business Administration (DBA): September intake only - apply at least 15 business days in advance.
*Student visa procedures do not apply to online or hybrid formats, providing greater flexibility for part-time learners.

Your arrival timeline depends on the format of your program at SBS Swiss Business School.
Full-Time On-Campus Programs (BSc and MSc in Zurich)
Students enrolled in on-campus programs should plan to arrive in Zurich 1–2 weeks before the semester begins to allow time for:
- Settling into accommodation
- Registering with local authorities
- Attending orientation and onboarding events
The fall semester typically begins in mid-September.
Undergraduate (BSc) students are strongly encouraged to join College Preparation Week, an interactive onboarding program that introduces you to SBS campus life, academic expectations, and Swiss culture.
Part-Time / Hybrid Program Students
Students enrolled in hybrid or part-time programs are not required to relocate. However, if your program includes an on-site module, you should plan to be in Zurich in time for the scheduled session
Once enrolled, you'll receive a Welcome Package with your specific orientation dates and program start details.

A certified or notarized translation is an official English translation of a document originally issued in another language. It must be completed by a licensed translator, a certified translation agency, or verified by a notary or the issuing institution.
Both the original document and the certified translation must be submitted.
