This course presents advanced concepts of both accounting and financial management. It examines the principles and techniques in the planning, control, and performance management of business organizations from a management perspective. This course will cover two primary topics;

  • Cash flow and financial statement analysis
  • Cost analysis methods
  • Decision making and control   

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understanding the concept of Cash Flow and properly analyze financial statements
  • Understand how to (effectively) produce a budget
  • Verify relevant costs for decision making
  • Perform financial analysis understanding the link between costs, volumes and profit
  • Analyze the variance between actual and projected goals
  • Understand budgeting and planning concepts
