Baar, Switzerland – November 8–9, 2025. What a weekend of insight and inspiration! Over 300 participants and 40 global thought leaders gathered for The Human Factor of AI Implementation Conference, a truly unique event co-hosted by SBS Swiss Business School and the International School of Zug and Luzern.

Unlike typical AI conferences, there were no product pitches and no marketing. Instead, the organizers created a safe and open space for honest dialogue – a place to question, challenge, and co-create solutions on how artificial intelligence can serve humanity rather than replace it.

In their opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Bert Wolfs, Academic Dean of SBS Swiss Business School, and Barry Dequanne, Director of the International School of Zug and Luzern, emphasized the growing importance of human-centric AI for the future of education, business, and society.

During his keynote, Prof. Dr. Gerlich urged participants to reflect deeply, stating that “the right question is not what AI can do for us, but what it should do – and what must remain the task of humans.” Nicole Gibson highlighted the urgent need to protect emotional data from commercial misuse, while Henry Wang pointed to decentralization as the foundation of a truly human-centered AI ecosystem.

Students from both institutions also joined the experts on stage, representing the next generation of leaders – curious, courageous, and determined to shape the future of AI with ethics and empathy at its core.

This inspiring weekend was more than a conference. It marked the beginning of a global conversation about the human side of artificial intelligence, reaffirming SBS Swiss Business School’s commitment to thought leadership, ethical innovation, and responsible AI education.

Events like this highlight the importance of connecting students directly with global experts and forward-thinking discussions. SBS Swiss Business School stands at the forefront of Responsible AI in Business Education, preparing future leaders to harness technology with purpose, integrity, and a human touch.
