SBS Swiss Business School Students Dive into the World of Digital Banking at Swissquote

On 22 October 2025, bachelor students from SBS Swiss Business School visited Swissquote Bank in Zurich – Switzerland’s leading online banking and trading platform. The visit provided a first-hand look at how innovation and technology are transforming the financial industry and shaping the future of digital banking and fintech.

Students were warmly welcomed by Mr. Anthony Gimigliano, Director and Head of Institutional Business, who shared Swissquote’s journey from a visionary startup to a global leader in online financial services. His insights highlighted the role of digital innovation and strategic foresight in driving growth.

Mr. Florian Schaarschmidt, Private Sales Manager, presented Swissquote’s Private Business, explaining how the bank empowers individual investors through advanced technology and user-friendly tools. Mr. Robin Lemann, Head of Institutional Sales & Partners Business, then shared how Swissquote collaborates with financial institutions and partners worldwide to expand online trading and investment opportunities.

The group was accompanied by Program Managers Mr. Angel Santamaría and Ms. Corina Marcuta, who supported students throughout the visit and encouraged them to connect classroom knowledge with real-world practice.

The visit concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where students explored topics such as fintech careers, investment strategies, and the future of digital finance.
