From Research to Results: SBS Swiss Business School Thesis Defense Week 2026

This week, SBS Swiss Business School marked an important academic milestone as students from around the world presented and defended their theses before a faculty jury at our Zurich campus in Switzerland.

From September 1 to 4, students across our BSc, MSc, MBA, Executive MBA, Online MBA, and DBA programs reached one of the most significant stages of their academic journey.

Thesis Defense Week represents much more than the completion of a research project. It is an opportunity for students to demonstrate the knowledge, critical thinking, and professional skills they have developed throughout their studies.

During their presentations, students demonstrated their ability to analyze real-world business challenges, defend their research, respond to challenging questions, and communicate their findings with confidence.

The diversity of programs, research topics, and international perspectives represented throughout the week reflects SBS Swiss Business School’s commitment to applied business education and an international learning environment as a Swiss State-Accredited business school in Zurich, Switzerland.

We would also like to thank our faculty jury for their time, expertise, and thoughtful evaluation throughout the week: Dr. Carl Olsen, President of the Supervisory Board and Faculty; Prof. Dr. Bert Wolfs, Academic Dean; Dr. Ardian Retkoceri, Head of Faculty; and Prof. Dr. Milos Petkovic, Head of Research.

We congratulate all our students on reaching this important milestone.

For those who successfully completed their thesis defense, the next chapter is already approaching: the SBS Graduation Ceremony in September 2026.
