Milos Petkovic, Ph.D.

Head of Research

Professor Dr. Milos Petkovic is an esteemed university professor specialising in finance, boasting over nine years of robust academic experience coupled with five years of consulting expertise. Currently serving as a Senior Lecturer at the Berlin School of Business and Innovation and holding the position of Adjunct Professor at the College of Business, Concordia University of Chicago, since 2020, Professor Petkovic has also held the distinguished roles of Visiting Professor at the renowned Grenoble Ecole de Management in France and Wroclaw University of Economics in Poland.

As a dedicated researcher with extensive experience, he has made significant contributions to the academic community. Professor Petkovic served as a scientific journal reviewer for multiple indexed journals, ensuring the quality and integrity of published research. His own scholarly output includes over twenty journal papers, one book, four monographs, four international research projects and more than fifteen conference papers. Additionally, he has mentored over ninety bachelor’s students, more than fourty master’s students, and one Ph.D. student, fostering the next generation of researchers and professionals. Professor Petkovic was also a Researcher at Sorbonne Business School, University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, where he worked on a research project financed by the French government.

He earned his doctoral degree in finance and accounting from the University Sophia Antipolis in Nice, France, complemented by dual master’s degrees in International Business and Macroeconomics, and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Audit, and Financial Management. With a tenure exceeding five years, Professor Petkovic has leveraged his expertise as an External Auditor and Consultant across various industries and company scales.

  • Research project entitle: “The impact of IFRS adjustments on accounting disharmonizing” was performed by the research team composed of professor Piotr Luty from Wroclaw University of Economics, Wroclaw, Poland, professor Milos Petkovic from Singidunum University of Belgrade, Serbia, professor Patrik Svoboda from Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic, and professor Hana Bohusova from Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic. The project is financed by the Polish government. The project deadline is the end od 2021 year. Decision No. WGB-2/13/Z/2020.
  • Research project entitled: “Intangible assets – on the border between accounting and extra-accounting” was performed by the research team composed of professor Elisabeth ALBERTINI, professor Fabienne BERGER-REMY, professor Elisabeth WALLISER, professor Stephane LEFRANCQ, professor Laurence MORGANA and professor Milos PETKOVIC at the IAE de Paris – Sorbonne Business School, University Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne in the period of 1st of October of 2017 until 31st of December of 2018.
