Dr. Alejandra Olay Cheu

Dr. Alejandra Olay Cheu is a legal scholar and international expert in Corporate Social Responsibility and Business Law. She currently serves as President of the Fondazione Italia Messico, an institution focused on international project management, business internationalization, and cross-border cooperation. In this role, she capitalizes on years of experience acquired in both, law firms specializing in Business Law and in a consultancy firm focused on institutional relations and public affairs, providing advisory services to governmental entities and enterprises in Mexico and Italy.

Alejandra is a qualified lawyer holding a PhD in Comparative Law alongside Master’s degrees in European Studies and Legislative Sciences. She has managed European projects on innovation and technology transfer, coordinating academic and industry research teams across Italy, Lebanon, Tunisia and Greece.

Dr. Olay Cheu has authored one of the earliest books on Corporate Social Responsibility from a legal perspective and has contributed as a chapter author to edited volumes in the fields of Integration Law, Supranational Law, and Immigration Law. A frequent speaker in Mexico and Italy, she has delivered legal training for international companies and judicial institutions. Since 2022, she has also served as a mentor supporting women’s professional development.
