Riga, FinTech Business School, University of Latvia previously named BA School of Business and Finance (BA), is one of Latvia’s leading institutions for business and finance education. Founded in 1992 under the Bank of Latvia and accredited in 1997, BA has earned strong national and international recognition. In 2007, the school celebrated its 15th anniversary, supported the United Nations initiative through the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), and committed to the Investors in Excellence Standard, based on the European Excellence Model (EFQM). During 2007–2008, BA was recognized as one of the world’s top 1,000 business schools.
Today, UL FTBS offers undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs in Economics and Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, and Finance. Its study environment has a strong international dimension, producing graduates who are well-regarded entrepreneurs, managers, consultants, and finance professionals in Latvia and abroad. BA’s Student Council plays an active role in institutional decision-making, reinforcing its culture of student engagement.
Since 2023, UL FTBS has been part of the University of Latvia (LU), becoming the university’s dedicated business school and strengthening its development toward a Baltic-wide center of excellence in business and finance, including fast-growing fields such as fintech.
