After more than 25 years in South Africa, Mr. Tanner returned to live in Horgen, Switzerland in 2004. While in Durban he was initially involved in the hospitality industry, and then moved into higher education at the Hotel School where he became Director and Head of Department. During the ’90s, the years of socio-economic transformation, he was Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the Durban University of Technology.
His current academic interests focus on research and teaching in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, issues of higher education, and English for business purposes.
