Dr. Fernando Barbi is a macroeconomist with extensive modeling experience in Emerging Markets and Africa. Before joining a Private Equity firm in Switzerland, he held positions in the financial market and government where he headed an Economic Modeling Division (Ministry of Finance of Brazil). Dr. Barbi has a PhD in Economics from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) in São Paulo, Brazil. His research areas are Macroeconomics and Finance, and he has over 10 years of experience as an instructor and advisor.
