Cynthia Luna (Thomet) currently teaches Communication Skills (COM 100) to Bachelor’s students at SBS Swiss Business School, and has also lectured in Public Relations (MKT 207), Commercial Correspondence (ENG 115) and English (ENG 100) to Bachelor’s students in their first two years. She has also taught Marketing Management (MMM 500) to Master’s candidates in the MIB program.
Ms. Luna has more than ten years’ experience providing marketing communications services for large and small organizations, public relations and advertising agencies, as well as smaller initiatives. Her work has helped pass criminal justice reform legislation in the United States, encourage support for the removal of unexploded ordnance in Asia and Africa, protect community television in Hawaii, and promote the start-up of new businesses. Ms. Luna is passionate about communications and constantly strives to develop the skills—both technical and technological—to maintain relevance in a dynamic media environment.
She holds a Master of Science in Public Relations (with distinction) from Boston University and a Bachelor’s degree in French Language and Literature (summa cum laude) from the University of Maryland. Ms. Luna is part Swiss, part Trinidadian, has lived in many US cities, and permanently moved to Switzerland in September 2012.
