SBS Swiss Business School COVID-19 survey:

41 companies followed the call of the SBS Swiss Business School and took part in the SBS entrepreneur survey COVID-19, which was conducted from April 2 to 10. Companies from the Zurich Airport region were surveyed.

The most important results of the survey:

Of the 41 companies that took part in the survey, 66% are small and medium-sized companies from the service sector. 70% of this survey was conducted by CEOs and members of the Executive Board.

The majority of the companies were poorly (30%) to moderately (42%) prepared for the corona crisis.

82% sent their employees to the “home office”. For 73% of those surveyed, working from home is not a burden.

When asked whether the COVID-19 bridging aid (credit) was important for the company, 90% chose “little importance” or even “not important at all”. In return, however, the companies would be very happy about an additional extension of the tax deadline.

Open questions:

In addition, each participant was given the opportunity to express their own wishes to the authorities, politicians and associations.

One of the suggestions:

Lending to ensure the liquidity of the self-employed is unsustainable and dangerous. It would make more sense for the self-employed to also be able to benefit from the services of the social institutions to which they pay into. This is the direction in which politicians must now take urgent and immediate action.
