As a business leader, you need to make decisions that set your company up for success, now and in the future. The challenge? In this fast-changing world, the rules of strategy are being rewritten and the go-to solutions you once relied on are no longer enough. The Fourth Industrial Revolution is here. As emerging technologies like AI and blockchain become ubiquitous, they will unleash unprecedented levels of disruption. As they become a reality, they disrupt established companies and make tried and tested business models suddenly obsolete. There is hardly an industry that is not affected by digitization. Current developments have an impact on business models, strategy, markets and products as well as on processes and instruments in companies. Dealing correctly with digital change is becoming vital for many companies.
The aim of the course is to convey the most important trends, strategies, business models, methods and processes resulting from digital transformation. The idea is to explore various ways in which information technology relates to objectives and goals in an organizational context, given the increasing inter-relationship between these two in today’s global world. The participants will need a basic knowledge about information systems and their impact on business processes. This course examines the fundamental principles associated with the strategic adoption, implementation, use and evaluation of information systems in organizations. It discusses the significant managerial aspects of treating information as an organizational resource and its increasing impact on today’s organization.

Data is transforming the way we deal in our daily lifes and Alessandro approaches the importance and the specifics of how this change impacts the way we do business. Definitely a must do course for those who want to get familiar with the 4th industrial revolution.
Alessandro has the knack of connecting with his audiences and developing a quick bridge with their thinking. This is quite a unique feature I found. His slides were really interesting with examples from all walks of life. He is very knowledgeable and has a mastery over the topic he was speaking. We could just go on and on listening to him!
This course was very much enjoyed. Digital Transformation is one of the most relevant topics of our time. The content was very informative, well presented and had intuitive explanations. A big thank you to Prof. Lanteri and the SBS team for the diligent organization and very convivial session.
