This course builds on the product differentiation and market focus concepts developed in MKT315 Strategic Marketing.  This course completes the discussion of the three forms of obtaining a competitive advantage with a focus on strategic options available to compete on overall low cost. Approaching strategy as a philosophy allows incorporation of understanding and managing change and in developing the organizational culture needed to cope with the change.

  • Explain and evaluate methods of obtaining a competitive advantage
  • Assess corporate strategy from cases and news articles
  • Generate recommended strategy options based on the assessments
