Cross Cultural Communication Lecturer (f/m)

Your Responsibilities

Your main task will be lecturing Cross-Cultural to our Master students.

In today’s global village being a competent communicator is essential. This course will specifically focus on the way you perceive, talk, and listen to others, and what errors are possible when communicating across cultures. The course focuses on communication and cultural theories, principles, and practical skills that are necessary for becoming effective communicators in both personal and work environments.

Your Profile

Master’s degree in business or related area, Ph.D. preferred.  Related work experience is a must! 

Candidates with a permanent residency (Permit B) in Switzerland 

Skills and Requirements

  • Communication Skills: You must be able to speak clearly to students, other lecturers, administration officials, and sometimes to parents.
  • Instruction Skills: You will have to explain new ideas and unfamiliar concepts with authority and in a clear and concise way so that students can understand. You must work to keep the students’ attention
  • Writing Skills: Lecturers write progress reports, articles for use in the classroom and in some cases, publish research. Writing skills are critical.
  • Patience: The students you work with will have different backgrounds and abilities. Patience will help lecturers deal with students who act out or have trouble following the material.
  • Creativity: Lecturers have to find ways to involve students into their lessons. Additionally, lecturers may have to work with different learning styles to get the most out of each student.
  • People Skills: Creating healthy relationships with students and faculty will help create a quality-learning environment.
