Zurich CityDuring two weeks, international students will have the chance to attend intensive business courses with a focus on European Business, interact with top managers during company visits, discover local culture and socialize with people from around the world in a highly international environment.

European Business Summer Program 


European Summer ProgramIn this two week intensive program students will gain an insight into European Business and Negotiation Skills & Practices.  Course work will be accompanied by interesting cultural excursions, company visits and social events. Participants will experience challenging and rewarding classes combined with a cultural experience.

Course Modules

 

European Business (18 hours)

European BusinessReview, analysis and projection of the environment for business in the European region including: economic, political and legal factors, socio-cultural characteristics, scenarios for change, issues relating to the European market and the political economy of nation-states and regional groupings in the global context, and analysis of business strategies in the European market.
 

Goals
 

This course aims to enable students to develop an in-depth understanding of the strategic and operational importance of the European context for international business. Students gain familiarity with and knowledge of the European business environment and the forces shaping it. Emphasis is on analysis of the environment as well as formulating and implementing European-level business strategies.

  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of how the European Union operates, its impact on international business and the interface between the two;  
  • Prepare and participate in business strategies for the European Union market;  
  • Show practical knowledge of the European market based on their own research;  
  • Contribute to strategic policy formulation on the basis of the future development of European policies - with both an internal and external focus. 
     

Communication and Negotiation Skills (18 hours)

altEffective communication and negotiation does not come naturally.  We were born crying, not communicating effectively.  Many employees have never been trained on communication and negotiation techniques that create effective working relationships.
 

Goals

  • Increase your knowledge of Communication and negotiation
  • Gain experience through negotiation group exercises
  • Apply your learned skills to Business Cases
