Distance learning MBA Majors:
SBS Swiss Business School offers the distance-learning Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with several majors. One may choose to earn their degree in at least one of these majors depending upon professional background and intellectual interests. Within these majors, a great deal of flexibility is provided so that students may focus their studies on issues most important to them and their career.
In our Distance Learning Master's program, each course represents 3 credits out of a total of 48, including the Master's Thesis (3 credits), while students have the flexibility as to when and where they participate. It is required to complete projects, assignments, and exams, as assigned by the appointed professors. Each program consists of 15 courses, 10 general and 5 specialized MBA Program ObjectivesThe Master of Business Administration program is designed to provide knowledge and skills needed to become an effective manager in a variety of organizational settings. It is a broad-based career-advancement degree rather than a technical training for a particular job within an organization. The broad goal of the program is to provide students with in-depth knowledge and competencies that support their further career development.
The MBA learning outcomes are:
Measurement of learning objectives:MBA students are requested to take a program specific entrance and exit test. This test is organizes by the beginning of the program and at the end of the program. We are doing this test now for 2 years and the mean has gone up. Areas of improvement are a better coordination among faculty and focus on certain knowledge aspects. The purpose of the test (in house developed) is to measure if we reach our program goals and overall mission. Examination Centers
Each course has its specific completion modus. Some require a written final case analysis and/or projects, to be submitted by postal services. Other courses require a written final examination, to be held under supervision. Supervised examinations are to be taken at the following centers:
